The Indiana Standardbred Breed Development provides a booklet for nomination forms and information each year. Those booklets arrived in homes last week, providing important information for all horsemen and horsewomen in preparation for the 2020 racing season.

The Indiana Standardbred Breed Development Nomination Booklet is now available for 2020.
Inside the booklet is information on all types of racing opportunities in Indiana. From mini-series to late closers to Indiana Sires Stakes to Elite races and Indiana Sired Fair Circuit (ISFC), nomination forms, dates, deadlines, etc. are all included.
Jessica Barnes, director of racing and breed development, opens up the booklet with some changes for 2020. Consolation races will now be offered for the Indiana Sires Stakes program and purses for the Indiana Sired Late Closers have been increased. Series One of the ISFC has been renamed the Governor’s Cup Championships and overnight races have been added to Series One of the ISFC program. The booklet also includes registration forms for breeders wishing to get their foals and Brood Mares registered for the state program.
Indiana is coming off another super year for the Standardbred industry. Last year, an additional $1.1 million was distributed in Indiana Sires Stakes and a record number of races were held for the ISFC.
